Age of empires II conquerors, unable to play?

Whenever I try to launch a new game of age of empires II, conquerors, the other players are unable to join. I have opened up the ports and done port forwarding, what else is there for me to do to play with other players? (I'm using Gamespy)

If you opened up the ports and are using port forwarding, then by all rights you 'should' be able to get that network game going.

To see if it IS a firewall or some sort of issue with NAT routing, place your computer into your routers' DMZ zone temporarily. Just long enough to see if the problem is on your end, or theirs. (A firewall issue on their side) May even try disabling the personal firewall for a short time as well to try to single out the root of the issue. It's still likely a minor firewall issue. Good luck!
