Alternatives to gamespy arcade?

is gamespy arcade safe? because i tried to install it, but mcafee virus scan says it contains a trojan.

i want to use gamespy arcade, but i risk getting trojan viruses.

what are the alternatives to gamespy arcade and can you please provide a link so i can check it out?

Gamespy sucks, and I have heard rumors about spyware. I just downloaded it (i use to play it all the time years ago) for a game. Its soo confusing these days I have no idea how to join a server (it just goes in a loop, back to the menu), and their tutorials are awful on how to do all these things.

Alternatives-- haven't found any yet, going to check google.
