GameSpy Arcade Question?

My friend and I are trying to play AOE2 over GameSpy Arcade. When one creates a private room the other enters and the host launches the game when were both ready, the host gets in to a "Multiplayer" menu with no problems while the person joining the game is taken to a screen that says something like "Creating Multiplayer game" for awhile and then ultimatly says something like "Unable to make connection" and thats it. Weve tried disabling all pop up blockers and anti-virus software but thats still what happens. Can anyone help me out? Are we overlooking something? Or are we just SOL?

zone.msn.com also has a place you can play that. GameSpy has a lot of problems here and there.
