Gamespy Arcade?

Is gamespy arcade really ad aware and spyware i had mcafee site advisor said it was a potentialy unwanted program other say it isnt if it is adaware how come ea games uses it microsoft support it etc etc Please help me out here im torn between both ideas

They help run the servers.
