How do i connect to Halo online servers??

Every time i try to connect to an online server in Halo:combat evolved, a message says "Could not contact Gamespy master server" appears, and it wont let me connect to an internet game.

What do I do? I tried so many things!

Are you trying the original Halo? If so you may have to put your Xbox or computer in the DMZ on your router so you can connect to the server. Thats what it sounds like at first glance or you can find out what ports need to be open and open just those ports on your router so you can connect.

I would need more info to help you further, but that sounds like your problem.
