Is there anyway to make a macro that will interact with another program?

Wat i need is a program that will automatically do something when something happens with another program. I think that this is called marcroing but im not sure. I know a good bit about computers but i have never done anything along the line of programing. The program that i need to make a macro for is called gamespy arcade.

I recommend autoit, a "Windows automation language". It may be able to do what you're looking for.
