Should I get rid of my McAfee Security?

I have heard that McAfee Security interferes with Limewire and it blocks my connection to the Gamespy Arcade, too. I have tried everything like shutting down my firewall to adding it to the "Don't Block" list. I think I should delete McAfee because 1.) I have Windows Vista, which comes with a firewall and scan center and 2.) It interferes with almost all of my programs. What do you think?

A good protection that I have tested on vista is Pc tools software. Its firewall plus and threatfire free are great on vista. You can also add its free antivirus for added protection. You can delete mcafee if it is a free or pre installed version and never paid for it.

No-one i know who knows about PCs will ever reccomend a Security suite!

I've always hated antivirus programs and security suites that you have to pay for.

Check out Avast! Home Edition...it doesn't interfere as much and the registration is free: http://avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

And your right - the security in Vista is much improved. The firewall is great. However, I strongly recommend that you still have an antivirus program.

A general tip - don't download p0rn!!!

even though you have vista you will still get a virus. i will suggest keep it. theres a lot of viruses in limewire. you can try disabling mcafee if it won't allow you to download from limewire.
