What to wear with a green formal dress?

Howdy, my formal is coming up in a month. I have a dress but I'm not sure what accessories/shoes would go with it. It's green, has thin strapes and stops above the ankle, and its kinda open in the back.

It kinda looks like this pic only it's one piece dress ( and does not expose midriff/*** *lol*)

Any tips and hints would really be appreciated :D

What color green. It make a big difference.

I would go with silver accessories if the dress is light green and gold is the dress is darker green. And with the cut of the dress a simple solitaire necklace would look nice and besides you can almost never go wrong with solitaires necklace or earrings. If the dress is flashy go for minimal jewelry otherwise try dressing it up with thicker jewerely and bold makeup and to die for shoes and purse. I really like the clutches that have metal closures but are made of wierd material like ostrich feathers or are covered in champagne colored beads.

it also depends on what color your hair is and your complexion.

I used to have a dark green dress and I used to wear it Bollywood style over skinny jeans.

But considering the season just try to avoid red. Don't go around lookin like the spirit of chirstmas

My suggestion would be to accessorize with rhinestones(diamonds if you can afford them!). Go with rhinestone drop earrings and matching bracelet. If the top of your dress is pretty dramatic, I would refrain from wearing a necklace..it might make it too busy.

You can also get very inexpensive rhinestone shoes because of their popularity right now.

Simplicity would be your best option so you wont take away from the beauty of your dress.

Have fun!!

What about a pretty green silk flower hair clip accessory? You can find some gorgeous ones and other inexpensive accessories at Breezy Beach Wear:

Long gloves are really in this year. White or black would be fine. Something that comes above the elbow. You did not say the shade of green your dress is, but it would be nice if your dress and shoes complimented each other. A glittery pendant necklace and earrings. Hair partially pinned up or in an up do.

Well an outfit that hot wouldn't need that much of accessories.

What shade of green exactly are you referring to? There are a lot of shades of green around. I hope you were able to provide ample information about the exact color.

But you know, my mom always said that pearls look best with everything.

no black...it can make green look dowdy...go for gold strappy shoes, some gold earrings, and gold bracelet or ring...and that is with the accessories.

black shoes and either emerald or diamond jewelry (the faux from Claire's usually looks good and much more affordable and practical than the real thing)

For accessories I would choose pearls. You can never go wrong with them they are always classic. I would go with black strappy heels. Black is timeless and works with anything.

iight green and gold are money colors get some gute gold jewlery and cute gold shoes with green tint with a purse to match
