Battlefield 2 multiplayer????

You see i downloaded battlefield 2 and i signed up for ea games, not for gamespy i made an account and it worked but when i get on multiplayer either options local, internet there is no games i can't see anyones and when i hosted no one came (they probably can't see mine) but if any one of you know if i need to subscribe for gamespy or a patch to download plz tell.

you shoud be able to play. idk why its not working. You might need to turn off your firewall and other background tasks. You can download the latest patch (1.41) at www.ebkbf2.com and make sure you click on the downloads tab.

Download this patch http://files.filefront.com/Battlefield+2+v141+Patch/;6194285;/fileinfo.html and fix the filter settings

first off, u might need to run the latest patch of v1.41, most servers these days are running that patch, u might have better luck. second, i think gamespy might help too.
