Legal game with adware?

I just bought a game legally from a store. After i installed it, my anti-virus (mcafee) detected an adware.

My question is will the game work even if I block the adware? Will the adware be uninstalled if i uninstall the game?

The name of the game is monopoly, the store is bestbuy and the adware is gamespy arcade.

You'd be surpised how many games have it on and it hasn't effected the game play any by removing it.
